ISRNM Executive Committee:

I am writing to express my interest in on the ISRNM Council.  I was an invited presenter at the 15th International Congress in Lausanne, Switzerland.  I realized at that meeting the importance of an international focus in renal nutrition and metabolism.

As a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) and Board Certified as a Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR), I have provided care to patients with renal failure, other renal conditions and endocrine disorders in an academic medical institution since 1979.   I have been an active member of the National Kidney Foundation Council on Renal Nutrition and served as its chair twice.  I am currently serving a second appointment to the editorial board of the Journal of Renal Nutrition.

I am also a member of the National Quality Forum Renal Steering Committee, a writer for the Commission on Dietetic Registration Renal Nutrition and Advanced Practice Nutrition Certification exams, an invited participant to the KDIGO Early Intervention Conference in Mexico City October 3-6, 2019, and a member of the Northwest Renal Disease Network Board of Directors and Vice Chair of the Medical Review Board.

I hope that my commitment and passion for renal care is apparent, and the committee selection team identifies the unique and relevant experiences and knowledge I would bring to an international group of leaders in renal nutrition & metabolism.
